9/11 AKLAS VS. ALL ARTIST INSIGHT: JORGE

Jorge started his writing journey by writing poems during his grade school years. His academic extracurricular activities would include joining songwriting competitions. He also stated joining hip-hop dance contests but he admittedly said, he wasn't that good when it comes to dancing.

After some point, Jorge cited rap battles gaining popularity while his focus was directed mainly on writing. Everyone around his neighborhood was enveloped as the rise of battle rap continued on. Meanwhile, Jorge was already falling in love with the culture and started tuning to rap. He then met some local rap artists who helped him record his tracks. 

By then, opportunities started coming in. Joined by his friends, Jorge made IllMusic. Not long after joining rap battles, Yang Wan noticed his skills and abilities and was invited to join Sureshot. Years later, Jorge was recruited by Novo, to join S.A.D. Clique, as the group's second member in Iloilo. 

More opportunities came after that and Jorge started making more songs. This was until "Cogitacio", his first mixtape, was made with the help of his producer and friend,  J. Cast. According to Jorge, this project "was all about the emotions and thoughts that I have that I don't usually show off or say". Meanwhile, another project was brought to life when Jorge made 77! Zone EP. This was more of a mixed music concept that covers new school and old school types of rap. 

You might have seen Jorge performing in various events around Iloilo as he has been performing at different events, locally or out of town. 

Needless to say, Jorge has also been featured as of the best artists in Iloilo. What's up with Jorge these days? He is currently working on some music and self-improvement as an artist while juggling the needs of his day job-- definitely, more music to come!
