9/11 AKLAS VS. ALL ARTIST INSIGHT: NJCee

I'm Neil John Ceñidoza (NJCee), born and raised in Iloilo City. I'm an artist, a lyricist, poet, song writer, producer, graffiti artist and also an activist.

I love hip-hop and Music so much that I became a hip-hop artist myself. I started as a solo artist in 2015. A year later, I became a member of HQ.

By 2017, I formed a hip-hop band named DUPLA which means Defend, Uphold, Protect LaPuz-Abanilla. Then following year (2018), we created an all artist group/community with members hailing from different art forms, including tattoo artists, painters, musicians, skaters, etc., named A.N.D Crew.

Moving forward to 2019 before the pandemic, NJCee, HQ, and DUPLA were busy performing during events and gigs.

There were even instances when we had to leave immediately. We were too full that we needed to leave one gig after performing to catch another show to rock.

Meanwhile, as NJCee, I made a lot of music thru the years but decided not to release them for personal purposes. I prefer to perform them live.

Rewind to 2020, during the first two weeks of the 1st ever Covid lockdown, I and my childhood friend Lann made a 12-track album called n5ane LP which we only did in two weeks. Songs are available on YOUTUBE for now as they are only in raw versions. I just had to let people know what was on my mind during those times and decided to upload it on Independence Day.

I and Lann are about to start an independent record label this time around called High Records, aiming to release more singles and a few albums next year under the said label.

NJCee also released a music video from that album and other lyric videos. HQ also recently uploaded an MV called Ciudad.
