Loonie’s Balewala Music Video: A Premonition Came True

Director Willan Rivera always knew his works are merely outcomes of his wildest imaginations.

As a visionary, he can somehow predict the turning point of events before they even become a reality. With his last work, Loonie’s Balewala music video, can be likened to a premonition—a dejavu.  This was after the latest news regarding a massacre in Bulacan, Philippines, occurred sometime in June 2017 involving one or more suspects who was allegedly high on illegal drugs and alcohol.

We can recall scenes from the music video where Loonie’s house was invaded by men who were also under the influence of illegal drugs and alcohol.  The men tried to rape the “wife” played by China Roces and attacked even their children. Apart from the influence of liquor and prohibited drugs, the men were said to have been under demonic possession causing altered way of thinking and extreme behavior.

Loonie’s official music video for Balewala was released on February 15, 2017 via social media platform YouTube. Artifice Records is the executive producer for this project under Clips Films while CreatureShopFX handled the prosthetic works. Aklas is also a part of this project along with award-winning beatmaker/sound engineer Klumcee. Notable characters portrayed in the music video were played by Kiko Matos, Marsin Maarfi Dimitrov, Vic Roman, Basty Batistis, Poko Ditablan, Luis Gabriel Cerda and Richmond Pampolme. Mae Dizon sang vocals for the song Balewala.

Watch the video below to relive the scenes known to have been a premonition which came true.
